Also a lot more kids would cycle to school if their parents weren't so worried about the amount of traffic.

Lots of what I wanted to write but have only said in the pub! That is to the Leader of the Suffolk Labour Group - Sandy Martin - and keen cyclist.

He btw is one of the few local biker-users who stops at red lights and does not appropriate the pavement for cycles.

One thing: I would ride a bike in Central London with great reluctance. Even when I was a kid in North London it was often pretty hairy. Now....

And, I certainly won't ride one with Boris's huge ad for Barclay's Bank on it.
