That stretch of the A1 is a bit of a surprise eh - no NCN signs, just a big road with lots of cars. It's supposed to be getting a proper cycle path some day. The route up from Berwick along the coast is awesome though. If you liked that, try Edinburgh to Berwick via the B6355 and NCN1 some day - it's a pretty quiet road and the view from the Lammermuir Hills is fantastic.


I've checked the map and will do that route soon. There's another NCN route which goes from Berwick to Edinburgh through the Borders towns which I will do as well - it's 100 miles though, so a pretty hefty day trip.


It seems that you must be very exhausted at the end. I have never been to Scotland but you have been very clear idea about the place.
